Y2 had a fantastic time on a trip to St Paul's Cathedral on Wednesday 14th October. The children absolutely loved visiting the breathtaking interiors of the cathedral and participating in the 'London's Burning' workshop about the Great Fire of London. Y2 children amazed our workshop leader with their extensive knowledge of facts about the event. We then challenged ourselves to walk up the dome. Well done Y2 for climbing 500 steps ! It was absolutely worth the effort! We loved spotting Canary Wharf and Poplar from the top of the dome!

Y4 vist to Gilwell Park (10 images)

As many of you will know, 17 of our Year 4 children went to Gilwell Park this week, an adventure holiday park near Epping Forest. They went for two nights and three days. All of the children were perfectly behaved and tried everything with good sportsmanship and NO FEAR! They were really mature and their teachers Val and Tara were very proud of them. The took part in climbing, a sensory trail, tightrope walking and team building. They all thought archery - which was a new sport for most - was brilliant. They then went on a long hike through Epping Forest and also tried the giant swing and go-karting with much delight. They also did an activity that wasn’t part of the itinerary - rabbit chasing, with all the hildren loving the chance to be outdoors and to experience the rural Essex countryside! All children have returned home, happy, full of adventure, but very tired! Well done, Year 4 - and have a good rest over the weekend! Tara Wilson (Year 4 teacher)
